The Importance of Studying Marxism

Marxism would be worthy of study simply for the purpose of tracing the way in which ideas influence events. But there's another and more compelling motive for studying Marxism. That reason is to understand the nature of the force that has challenged the modern capitalist world from without and corroded it from within. To understand the movement we must understand its ideology and the relation of that ideology to its political and military actions. Let us begin our inquiry into Marx's ideology therefore. The whole system consists of a series of theses and claims with supporting arguments. I propose to examine these doctrines as they were stated by Marx and by later important Marx's writers.
