The Power of the Asking
"There's power in the asking, right, Nate?" he asks. "You might not get it, but there's power in being open to what your partner is going through." If you're struggling with addiction and don't know where to start, ask for help from a friend or family member who can offer advice on how to move forward. Don't go over into someone else's yard; if they won't let you do that, find other ways of getting around them. Ask about their day: How are they doing? What has been done so far this week? And then give some specifics like when will we be able to see each other at least once every two weeks as well
