The Importance of Salience Tagging

i'm going to propose a way of thinking about this he doesn't use this language but i think it'll be helpful. This ability to do this is like salience tagging okay when i touch this i'm making this here nowness salient to me not the bottle not even the flat surface because remember i lose all of those particular qualities  and we do this with the monstrative terms such as cat cat refers you to a specific thing and so on. He's using demonstrative reference as a linguistic analogy for something you enact by calling it inactive demonstrative reference rather than linguistic demonstrative reference.
