At the age of 31, Buffett had accumulated $7.2 million in capital in a partnership and $1 million of that belonged to him. In 1968, Buffett had his best year yet for the partnership with an astounding 59% return relative to the Dow's 8%. Then in 1969, Buffett announced that he would be closing the doors on his partnership. Now, when it was all said and done, the partnership's assets grew from the original $105,000 to $104,000, $25 million, 25 million of which was Buffett's.
