Pleas - Can We Plead a Hundred Percent of the Cases?
Prosecutors, like a lot of a lot of civil servants, are often overworked and under resourced. And so this is a way for them to do their job and to make sure that they are a sort of dealing with the case load pressures that they deal with. The idea that we have to plea bargain at the rate that we do now just ignores the fact that the rate has gone up significantly. We've actually made the system far more efficient than it needs to be.
