We will be long dead when we achieve it because it means all our atoms decay,. Our molecules decay and they're just kind of sitting on the floor like apples. That's equilibrium for us, but life is out of equilibrium. The sand pile is a different way of thinking about how a system works because of interactions. If I was going to do a science that you might think, why am I doing a science of a kid's sand car? It encapsulates the same problem that we have.
