The Paulding County Sheriff John Keeler, who was going to oversee this investigation. He immediately called in the Ohio State Patrol to come in and assist in this investigation. That didn't happen a lot back in 1960. Back then they didn't call in other agencies so quickly. And it says Nancy's death was the first murder of this type in this Northwestern Ohio community of 2,300.
