I'm proud of the six and a half years I was at Atlassian amazing company. The best thing I'm proud of which can be showcased as much is the leadership that I built during that time right? We always optimized for the company in some cases it made us work slower because we had to optimize for globally not locally but that definitely helped us to move all in unison. That's one of the underestimated things where engineering orgs generally want to run fast. If you don't align with the complete org you don't achieve the company level of lokhires you get to do fast somewhere but it's not aligned with that so that alignment is extremely important.
Former Atlassian CTO Sri Viswanath shares his lessons on engineering leadership, such as aligning goals, handling difficult situations, and optimizing team metrics. Jason, Eiso and Sri talk about their experiences with system failures and the importance of technical mentors and CTOs in promoting better leadership.
