People who are 46xx have two x chromosomes, which is twice as many as somebody who is 46xy would have. The x chromosome has over 1000 genes on it while the y chromosome has less than 200. 15 to 25% of these 1000 genes are not in fact silenced. They're called escape genes because they escape inactivation or silencing. And do you know where else many of these genes are located? On the y I'm assuming. Isn't that so interesting? It is really interesting.
