Are There Any More Convincing Studies?
Radeological progression of disease is not a patient oriented outcome, nor is it free of bias. So far we have a few poorly done, small studies that do show some benefit, and one relatively well done study that shows no benefit. What's next? The next trial is called the step trial. Its blue 20 15. It's very similar last so it's technically positive, but the steroids really didn't change the things that i care about. And i do worry. I think the outcome here is sort of dictable. Clinical stability is measured in things like fever and heart rate. Steroids make those look better, but is the patient really better? I'm not convinced.
