Is There Any Evolutionarily Adaptive Mechanism for Steroids?

Tony: Is there any evolutionary mechanism that we like either could postulate or see in any of this data as to why steroids might do this? Avi: Maybe cortisol has a role for turning it off. There may be an answer here, I just don't know what it is. Tony: One last point about something that you found about ITP. And so it's kind of shows that there's another scenario where the steroids have a role in improving these wonderful endothelial cells.
