The Dot Plot Is a Signal to the Market
The Fed thinks that the market is taking the dot plot the wrong way. It's not a commitment to do something regardless of what data comes out in between. And I think one of the things that Jay Powell has done a lot is say, listen, I have no idea what I'm going to do next month because I need another month's worth of data before I know that.
