i was covering the protests at the early stages, and i thought what would happen would be that some sort of funny little compromise would be made. What i didn't think was possible was the sheer, staggering level of incompetence of the people running the honkon government under carry lamb. She managed to provoke,. almost single handedly, people who were initially annoyed, but not outraged by what was going on, into a state of fury.
