CHAPTER

The Right Hemisphere Underwrites Depths

The right hemisphere understands depth in space. It is interested in perspective, because it actually sees the depths of space. And it's better able to see depths literally, visually. So whereas the left hemisphere tends to see a slice and another slice, which has no depth, or in emotion. The right hemisphere sees a continuing flow in which we are always present, and it underwrites depth in emotion. When people have a right hemisphere stoc they lose all the finer, deeper emotions, ampathy, and they substitute for it some rather superficial emotions such as irritability, joviality and an inappropriate behaviour.
