Health Inequality Strategy
To tackle health inequalities, we need a cross-government strategy. And if we focus purely on the services and interventions that are within the gift of Department of Health, then we will only continue to stick plasters over the problems rather than really get into the root causes. I don't want it just to be focused on the treatment and of the pathway, if you like. If we do that, that's a mistake, certainly for the North East.
