The Rise and Fall of Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes has become like a mass culture backbone. A thing you can depend on is that somewhere someone is making something with Sherlock Holmes and you could probably check it out this very moment. The new Sherlock comes in and just completely obliterates that presupposition partly I think because it manages to activate the fandom elements of Sherlock in a contemporary mode rather than keeping that in a character sort of focused on nostalgia maybe inherent.
