The New Yorker's Most Extreme Nonfiction
I just can't figure out how it made it into the magazine at the length that it did. Ariel Levy in a piece about Trove says that it's the most extreme work of nonfiction that The New Yorker ever published. I think that she's right to a certain extent about that, but there were other more experimental nonfiction writers in The New Yorker that she might not have read because nobody really reads them anymore.
