I think that part of the secret to explaining really complex things is making sure you understand them before you open your mouth and start talking about them. I think it's also fair to say that there's an element of practice in it. You get to a point where you have an opportunity to refine what you said the last time and make it even better the next time instead of just pushing play and saying the same thing because it seemed to be somehow pleasing to the crowd.
