The Nature of Parkinson's Disease
The American Academy of Neurology meeting is currently underway. Basu also in this paper mentioned some other biomarkers for Parkinson's disease that are still being developed. And we mentioned alpha-synuclein as a key protein that misfolds and clots in the brain of Parkinson patients. They were able to show that it separated Parkinson patients from controls in a rather good way.
