The Benefits of Going Outside

Excessive visual stimuli signals to our brain that our work is never done, which I think is one of the benefits of going outside. When you are inside, you're constantly reminded of the things that you have to do and it's harder to be present. And so this interesting piece, it reminds you that your work is neverdone, creates guilt, anxiety, the feeling of being overwhelmed. The stress levels of cortisol go up, which causes anxiety, depression, headaches, heart disease, trouble sleeping and weight gain.
