Is God Impersonal?
I think where I want to start is when you say that he is pure, unbounded, unconditional love. There is a tendency to think of God as a form of energy. And my sense about all that is that the whole sort of alternative spiritual world is like a tide flowing away from the traditional Western God who in many ways was quite frightening.
