I was terrified to use my chinese even when i was at a rather advanced level. My man, becker, that's what i call him, he just has such a healthier relationship to mandarin than i do. It reminds me what learning a language can be like. I'm kind of matized from it. Like, people are like, own language, you're going to do next and i'm like, no, no, never again. Never again.
