Milton's Poems - I Don't Use the Language of the Unconscious
Milton would be surprised by the way he's been read, you say. He'd have disagreed with lots of things that i find in him, but if he agreed with it, wouldn't be worth reading? You can find really amazing ways of thinking about kind of radical individuality and each person finding a position for themselves. I think there are other things that are happening through the poetry, or versions of him that come through in it, that he would not have liked or accepted.
