I think the premise assumes that the voters are somehow isolated from the rest of the culture and uninfluenced by all the other wider some intellectual trends and education so it's hard to imagine someone going through the standard educational system having a better view of what politics needs to look like. I do think still in America if we say if you take kind of nicks in the silent majority there is still that phenomenon and it might be that in some ways it's more pronounced than before. The way the parties are working right now the the primaries and the base are getting the more fringe candidates, he says.
