The Importance of Dialogues in Textbooks

The humble dialogue, the thing that we take for granted so often because it can be really useful. And if you understand why it's good, where its strengths are, it may be a little bit about where it can go wrong. Let's pick this apart. Why do textbooks always have dialogues? All right, so I want to step away from the textbook example for just a second because I did a ton of dialogues at Chinese pod. One of the reasons I love doing that so much is because we could do like totally modern up-to-date language. We could talk about the latest technology or the latest, you know, trends in the city, whatever.
