The Conflict Between Jesus and the Pharisees
Mark does not have a birth narrative. When his family heard about it, they went out to restrain him for they were saying he's lost his mind. So Mary, his mother, and his brothers, we who include James, his name is spelled out, they lack any faith in him. They think he is crazy. That's what the text says. And I want to show you something here because it's, it's glossed over in translations in most church translators. This is omitted by Matthew and Luke. It would make no sense at all in Matthew or in Luke when you've had all these heavenly visions and Mary knows perfectly well who Jesus is in those stories. None of
