Secure Messaging Apps Line Up to Oppose UK's Online Safety Bill
Secure messaging apps are lining up to oppose measures in the UK government's online safety bill. They argue we'll do the opposite of promoting online safety by undermining robust encryption web users rely on. All of these companies have basically said, we're gonna ignore this bill, we're not gonna comply. If it comes into effect, we're either just gonna relocate our offices or just ignore you and refuse to cooperate.
