What Are the Main Political Regions and Provinces of South Asia?
The monsoon rains usually arrive in late may or early june. And customarily they are welcomed for breaking the heat of the hot season. There is a variation where, in general, the northern and especially western areas are more dry, and the eastern areas are more wet. If you look just at the grain crops, much more rice is grown in the east,. whereas there is more wheat, millet and sore gum grown in the west.
