The Liberalization of the Legal Profession
In the 1970s, conservatives were worried about a left that was entirely outside of institutions. They wanted to bring kids in from the street into these elite institutions and liberalize them. The ideological composition of the educational elite of the legal profession changes quite dramatically. And court still ends up becoming this powerful engine for left of center change through the 70s and 80s.
