What's Your Interest in Atmospheric Science?
i'm a climate scientist. My broad interest are in the data science sides. O, how do we use data and analysis tools to understand the earth system? I like to say we actually really have data coming out our ears. It's not all good data. But one of the reasons i'm so excited about data science and machine learning techniques is how can we utilize the data that we have, even when some of it maybe is imperfect? For example, we have paleo records, so ice cores, that tell us what the climate looked like hundreds of thousands of years ago. We have these big climate models that are being run on super computers all over the world to try to help us
