The State of Behavioral Shutdown in Depression

The best way to think about depression is the state of behavioral shutdown. When you get depression, you get channeled in the system then decrease its investment. There's really one set of ideas that comes up across them, but to me better than any others. And it's called behavioral activation therapy. It increases one's mastery control and sense of effectiveness as you get engaged in the world. That's a degree designed if you're really depressed, I'm going to get you to gain more pleasure, more mastery, more engagement with the world.
