In 2001, Jeff Shaw left his job at D.E. Shaw to work on a new idea for the internet. When he's 80, looking back and he's like, well, I could have built Amazon, but I stayed at D, Shaw. He comes up with this framework for making the decision that he calls the regret minimization framework. And really, it's such a beautiful way to think about big life decisions like this.
