The worst time to have that conversation is when you're facing it, right? Nobody's going to make a rational decision when they're sitting in the room. If there is a chance for a good long-term prognosis, meaning them recovering from it, then of course they want everything you could do. And if not, but realizing that you often don't know that early on, they would probably want initial attempts at resuscitation.
