How Do You Find Your Unique Point of Difference?

i often think about with people's careers, it's finding your unique source of competitive advantage. So how do you find skills that a a cow newport would say, rare and valuable? And i guess that's where the rise of finteck has happened, right? Because it's the combination of things that may historically, years and years back, didn't go together.
