Salafism of Ibn Taimiya could suddenly seem more appealing than it had in previous centuries. Kalam, suffused with ideas from Avasana, had survived the Mongols and been given new impetus at Shiraz. Khadiz Adelis influence might explain a sudden withdrawal from those sciences in Ottoman society. Just as Al-Kazali and the Mongols have been accused of causing earlier, supposed retreats from philosophy, in this case the finger of blame would point squarely to the KhadizAdelis.
