I think we definitely need to check our predictions much more against what happens. I wonder if your wife could mark down whenever you make such a statement and then see if you are miscalibrated in terms of, you know, people do that on a prediction site. One is just in terms of not just humor, but making a writing interesting. I think monotony is what gets people bored. Anytime you can change the unexpected statement it's good. And this of course has tons of puzzles. So put in those or put in lists. That is just one trick I use to keep writing interesting.
