It seems to me that sometimes we actally can make things fun that aren't. E, however, there is such a thing as physical pain,. not sparkling joy, as marie comda would say. That's important, because if you are dogmatically or uncritically implementing in your life a theory of the good that involves pain, and which excludes the criticism that maybe this can’t be fun, it opens the door to suffering. If all those things are excluded, because, by definition, the thing is good and your pain, your suffering, doesn't matter, then you won't be able to get to a better theory.
