The 150 Pound Payment for People and Living With Mental Health Problems Is a Stinging Plaster
Household incomes for people with mental health problems are eight and a half thousand pounds lower per year. The 150 pound payment is a welcome recognition of those additional costs, but it doesn't recognize the fact that you're over three times as likely to be in problem debt going into this cost of living crisis. A hundred and 50 pounds extra in that case, its likely to be going towards your debt repayments. Energy, literallyi is a life saver. It's not a luxury for anyone in this community. I defy any one outside our community to say that energy w use is a luxury. We one not. Tis life affirming. Its life saving.
