Fish and Chip Day in the UK
The chips are cut thick, much thicker than regular fries. This is so that they can hold up to the weight of the fish and the vinegar used as a condiment. In 1999, the National Federation of Fish Fries declared Friday would be fish and chip day in the UK. If you know the name of any other white fish other than haddock, cod and hake and seabass, then let me know.
