Is There a Substitute for the People?

People have been sort of snowed by this idea like o there, you know, j pal and bernanke and yellen and all these folks, they're geniuses. They've got it. We'll just let them do their things. And when there is a reckoning and a massive crash, suddenly the public's mind will be focused on it in the same way that we all learned about what was going on in wall street during the last financial collapse. It seems like the only answer to this problem, which is interconnected with the total disfunction of of congress and our other democratic institutions, is to have a sort of more democracy involved.
