Perseverance

The rock cores are about 60 millimeters long. So they're quite small from that perspective. But the amount of a rock sample has been very carefully determined based on what we think we need when those rock samples come back to earth. We can't analyze the cores themselves with the instruments on the roverah, but we certainly can study the rocks that these cores come fromand that's one of the jobs that perseverance has as part of its mission. And so well, carry the if perseverance will carry the tubes, the sealed up tubes with these rock samples.
