SAS does not have any sort of named functions or even if Houdini was the solution it kind of sucks that you have to write a Houdini JavaScript worklet to get custom functionality right. I think with CSS nesting you can get a get away with a lot in SAS world so SAS is very clearly the winner there um but I've heard the the higher up leadership there is pretty rough for the development teams working on Firefox so you know who knows what's going to happen there I'm in for that that'd be fun uh next one we'll go real quick here the BEM syntax.
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott go through all the features of Sass and decide where we are at with Native CSS alternatives, giving each feature a rating of replaceable, plausible, or missing.
