i've been consulting with various people in the navy for, i think, about seven years now. They know that training for the speed sit up test is causing a back pain and grief. So what a some leaders in the navy anyway, have done is a replace the speed situp with other tests. Nw, i think they've gone to the plank. And the plank is a problem, because now you're stressing the people's shoulders. But none the less, a when the sailors do that and don't train the sit ups, they actually have less back pain, and they score higher on the eventual sit up test. so again, it's a transference of athleticism, that
