The Iridians Are the Apex Predator of the Planet
Rocky's species would not need vision because there's no light where they are. They need some other form of establishing what their environment is like. So I decided they use echolocation. And so they're very good at sound related things. Also, when there's a lot of gravity, it's probably better to be squat and flat rather than tall. The Iridians live on the surface and they're the apex predator of the planet. Of course, the smart, they developed intelligence.
