The US Can't Compete Against the Asians
The United States has very little, frankly, preferred access to global markets. If US suppliers can supply factories or assembly in Mexico or Canada, they have preferred access to much more of the world's consumers and customers out there. So it does matter what kind of trade for your own industrial base. It's almost like this paradox. I'm saying they can't do alone. They actually need to form a tie up with Canada or Mexico and other countries in its own side of the world.
