"I grew up seeing the space shuttle being launched. I thought it was completely awesome that we could leave the planet and begin to spread humanity through the solar system," he says. "So I began to think, well, why couldn't we use satellites to broadcast radio so that people driving long distances wouldn't have to keep tuning to a different channel of the radio?" He adds: "Instead of just 10 or 20 channels in the city, you could have hundreds of channels."
