'Vampire With an Eye'

Vampire with a y was pretty interchangeable with vampire with an eye when it first landed in english. We probably got it from french or german, but it was based on hungarian, possibly, or slavic languages. They'd been writing about vampire like creatures in english for hundreds of years before tha. So the concept wasn't new. Thay just didn't really have the word in writing. Maybe it was too powerful to put in writing, i don't no.
