The History of Hard Island

The island was leased to the federal government during the civil war. The training of black union troops took place on hard island in april of eight teen 64, and then saw and saw battle in the south by the fall. In fact, this particular regiment was actually in appomattox when the confederates surrendered on april of 18 65. I think this was a chaotic voyage.
