Is the Word Cult a Bad Word?

Jimmy: I have for many years not used the word cult to refer to groups that i consider problematic. It's just becomes an insult term that all it means is a religious group i don't like, he says. And so it's much better to avoid the quarrels about words, as saint thomas,. as saint paul says, and instead go for the substance. If you think that a group is doing something bad or believe something that's false, say that, but otherwise, follow the golden rule.
