Hope is one of the most dangerous things that we have because it says we have some expectation about some future outcome. The kind of hope that is really just goal setting with a prettier name, that could become a prison for you. There may be no hope in the relationship. But if you make room for it to be another way, what you're basically saying is you drop some bread crumbs.
